Uzbekistan's export of beverages, tobacco decline in 4M2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 7. Uzbekistan exported beverages and tobacco worth $34.9 million from January through April 2024, Trend reports.

According to the data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this indicator shows a 10 percent decrease compared to the same period last year ($38.8 million in January–April 2023).

The beverages amount to $16.5 million from January through April 2024, which is less than 33.7 percent year-on-year ($24.9 million in January–April 2023).

At the same time, the volume of tobacco exports reached $18.4 million during this period. This figure is 32.3 percent more than the same period of previous year ($13.9 million in January–April 2023).

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's volume of exports and services amounted to $4.9 billion (excluding non-monetary gold) from January through April 2024. This figure has increased by 8.8 percent compared to the same period in 2023 ($4.5 billion in January–April 2023).

In the structure of exports, goods account for 80.7 percent, out of which other goods account for 40.4 percent, manufactured goods for 15.9 percent, chemicals and similar products for 5.7 percent, and food products and live animals for 5.6 percent.
