Uzbekistan's coal, coke trade turnover volume grows in 5M2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 24. Uzbekistan’s coal, coke, and briquette trade turnover amounted to $74.3 million from January through May 2024, Trend reports.

According to the data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure is 7.5 percent higher compared to the same period last year ($69.1 million in January–May 2023).

The exports of coal, coke, and briquettes reached $700,000 from January through May 2024.

The country’s imports of coal, coke, and briquettes totaled $73.6 million during this period. The volume of imports shows 6.5 percent growth over the past year ($69.1 million in January–May 2023).

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s trade turnover of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials amounted to $2 billion from January through May 2024. This figure has increased by 42.8 percent compared to the same period last year ($1.4 billion in January–May 2023).

The volume of exports of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials from Uzbekistan amounted to $344.8 million from January through May 2024, while the imports of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials reached $1.7 billion.
