Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that Iran was prepared to discuss global issues, but will not negotiate over Iran's right to pursue "peaceful nuclear technology."

"We are ready to talk about international cooperation and resolving global economic and security problems as we believe that such issues cannot be resolved without everyone's participation," Ahmadinejad said in a meeting with British Ambassador to Iran Simon Gass.

President Ahmadinejad told Britain's new ambassador that London should repair past mistakes it has made in the Islamic republic and try to turn bad memories into good ones.

"We hope the British government learns from its experiences and corrects its previous attitude," Ahmadinejad told Simon Gass who presented his credentials to the hardliner, the Fars news agency reported.
