President of IRI Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in an interview with Iran's TV network, Channel One, on Saturday evening talked about effects of sanctions, IRNA reported.
He said that sanctions is just a piece of paper adding that western countries have talked so much about effects of sanctions so that they have believed their lies.
'They thought Iran is a desert and Iranians are hungry and have nothing to eat. As a matter of fact, the Zionists are behind such thinking,' said the president.
He added imposing sanctions against Iran is the most ridiculous political decision by the world politicians.
Ahmadinejad said that west does not know Iran and that Iranian civilization has made history.
On negotiations with Group 5+1, Ahmadinejad said that Iran told them there is no alternative except talk with Iran and talk upon justice.
We declared the issue and submitted related packages in this concern, but they did not dare to declare it , the president concluded.
