The narcotics unit of the İstanbul Police Department found 11 antique spear tips during an operation earlier this week targeting a house in which Iranian drug dealers were staying, Tabnak reported.
The officers caught members of a criminal drug organization in an operation they carried out at six locations in five İstanbul districts. While raiding the dealers' house in Beylikdüzü, the police found 11 spear tips dating back to A.D. 0-100. The criminal organization, led by Ferhad I., Farshid I. and Muhammed Reza, stands accused of distributing drugs that came from Iran to İstanbul. The operation also netted seven-and-a-half kilograms of methamphetamine, two-and-a-half kilograms of opium gum, one-and-a-half kilograms of cannabis and one kilogram of heroin. Forty-five passports were seized as part of the operation. The organization is believed to have been involved in human trafficking as well. Twelve out of 15 people who were detained in the operation have been arrested and were later sent to prison, TODAY'S ZAMAN reported.
