Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sent a message to the International Persian Gulf Festival, said a provincial official in Bandar Abbas, Hormuzgan Province on Wednesday, IRNA reported.
Director General of the provincial Culture and Islamic Guidance Department Homayoun Amirzadeh told reporters on Wednesday that the president's message indicated the importance of the festival.
Amirzadeh said the festival featuring 13 different arts categories provided a suitable opportunity for the country to demonstrate its national identity and make it possible for all citizens to renew affiliation with the Persian Gulf.
