Iran, China celebrate 40th anniversary of friendly ties

Vice President and Head of the Environment Protection Organization Mohammad Javad Mohammadizadeh said on Friday that Iran and China are keen on enhancing their bilateral ties, IRNA reported.

Mohammadizadeh made the remark in a ceremony held on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of establishment of ties between Iran and China in Tehran.

"Expansion of banking cooperation, commercial ties and boosting financial exchanges, as well as expanding ties in environmental areas with china are included in the Islamic Republic of Iran's agenda,' he added.

Mohammadizadeh said that Tehran and Beijing have developed friendly ties and it provides the best opportunity for further cooperation and investment.

"Although an agreement was signed between Iran and China in the field of environment in 2004, the two countries have still a long way to go,' he added.
