Over 500 Iranian students from universities in Bushehr and Khuzestan provinces formed a human chain around the Bushehr nuclear power plant to condemn International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Yukiya Amano's recent move, Mehr News reported.

Amano released a report on November 8 in which he said that Iran appears to have worked on designing an atomic bomb.

Based on the report, the IAEA Board of Governors adopted a resolution against Iran by a vote of 32 to 2, with one abstention, on November 18.

The students chanted "Down with the United States" and "Down with Israel" and condemned the efforts made by some Western countries to impose sanctions on the Islamic Republic, the Fars News Agency reported on Friday.

They also expressed strong support for Iran's nuclear program and shouted "Nuclear energy is our inalienable right" and other slogans.

In addition, the students set the flags of the United States and the Zionist regime on fire while chanting "God Is Great" and they expressed support for the Occupy Wall Street movement.

In an address to the students, an official of the Bushehr governor's office said the Bushehr nuclear power plant is a symbol of the Iranian nation's resistance and ability to stand up for its inalienable rights.

Nasrollah Shafii said that the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 paved the way for Iran's progress, adding, "Today, the Iranian youth, who are vigilant and trained in the school of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, are safeguarding the achievements of the Islamic system."
