Petrochemical product exports have earned Iran more than $12 billion this year (Iran's solar year ends on March 20). Shana news quoted Abdol Hossein Bayat, the head of National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NIPC) as saying.
While today Iran sells raw petrochemical materials, it could produce finished products that have a greater added value for export, said the NIPC director.
With its massive oil and gas reserves, Iran has the potential to expand its petrochemical industry and could become a top producer in the Middle East if it focuses on localization and uses the right
management models.
