Iran and North Korea signed a memorandum of understanding in Tehran on Saturday to expand cooperation in scientific and technological fields.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of North Korea Kim Yong Nam signed the MOU, the Mehr news agency reported.
The North Korean official attended the 16th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which started on Sunday and finished on August 31.
NAM, an international organization with 120 member states, is considered as not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc. It represents nearly two-thirds of the UN members.
