President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad left New York for Tehran on Thursday after attending the 67th Session of the UN General Assembly and delivering a speech there, IRNA reported.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad left New York for Tehran on Thursday after attending the 67th Session of the UN General Assembly and delivering a speech there, IRNA reported.

In addition to attending the 67th Session of the UN General Assembly, President Ahmadinejad met with the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and leaders of some participating countries and they discussed about the most important bilateral, regional and international issues.

The president also held talks with high-ranking officials from countries, other UN figures, heads of regional and global organizations, American university professors and students, religious leaders and Iranian nationals residing in the US.

President Ahmadinejad was exclusively interviewed by Japan's NHK, PBS and CBS news agencies of the US, Arabic and English services of Al-Jazeera television news network, English and Spanish services of Cable News Network (CNN), and The Washington Post.
