Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini in a meeting with his visiting Lebanese counterpart Gaby Layoun here on Sunday called for expansion of bilateral cultural ties, IRNA reported.
As to ancient and profound relations between the two nations, Hosseini stressed that Tehran and beirut enjoy amicable ties. Citing Teheran-Beirut relations as cordial, he voiced the Islamic Republic of Iran's willingness to host Lebanon Cultural Week in Iran.
Lebanese minister, for his part, stressed that Iran enjoys a rich culture and civilization.
Beirut always appreciate Iran's services to and support for the Lebanese nation in hard times, he said.
