Iran is looking to sign a memorandum with the P5+1 group on a roadmap, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and top nuclear negotiator, Seyed Abbas Araqchi said during an interview with the Iranian Arab-language al-Alam news channel.

He went on to note that, Iran and the six countries should sign a memorandum to clear the entire route, adding that Iran is not willing to walk in a dark corridor.

Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany known as the P5+1, held a new round of talks on Tehran's nuclear energy program in Geneva on October 15 and 16.

Araqchi also underlined that, "we believe that within six months to one year, we can conclude negotiations, if we see the same seriousness in future negotiations which we saw in the Geneva negotiations".

Perhaps within three or six months, the two sides can achieve a conclusion regarding the first step, he added.

Iran submitted a new proposal to the P5+1 during the meetings. Iran and the P5+1 issued a joint statement at the end of the talks for the first time.

The next round of nuclear talks between Iran and the P5+1 is to be held in Geneva in mid-November.
