S Korea's Iranian oil import drops by 12.4 percent in ten months

Statistics released by Korea National Oil Corp on Dec.20 indicate that the country's total oil imports from Iran decreased from 50.422 million barrels in first ten months of 2012 to 44.178 million barrels in the same period of this year, reflecting a 12.38 percent decline.
The country imported 3.853 million barrels of Iran oil in November 2013, while the figure was 3.041 million in the previous month and 5.871 million barrels in the same month of 2012.
Then South Korea increased Iranian oil import in November compared to December 2013 by 1.12 percent, while decreasing by 34.3 percent compared to November 2012.
Iran ranks fifth as main oil importers to South Korea between January and November after Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE and Qatar.
