Foreign Minister of Russia, Syria and Iran discuss preparations for Geneva-2 at trilateral meeting

A trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Russia, Syria and Iran has been held in Moscow on Jan.16. The main topic of discussion was preparation for the peace conference on Syria, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"On January 16 Moscow hosted a trilateral meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Walid Muallem and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. The parties discussed the developments in Syria and around it in the light of preparation for convening international Geneva-2 conference on January 22, 2014," the information said.
