Head of the Presidential Office Mohammad Nahavandian, by referring to developing ties between Iran and the European countries, underlined that Europe should seize current strategic opportunity to develop relations with Iran, IRNA reported.
According to the report of Presidential Office website, Nahavandian, in a meeting with a Belgian economic delegation here on Saturday, referred to some illegal actions of certain world powers against Iranian people and said that imposing sanctions is not solution of the problem.
He said that connecting economic issues to political problem is a mistake, adding that Iran is a good partner for European companies.
The official pointed to unique position of Iran in providing energy security in international arena, adding that there is now a strategic opportunity for the European countries, especially Belgium, to have good ties with Iran in different fields.
The Belgian economic delegation, by referring to importance of relations between Iran and the European Union, called for expansion of cooperation between member states of the EU with Iran.
