Terrorist cell busted by IRGC in SE Iran

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) dismantled a terrorist cell affiliated to the foreign powers in a border region in southeastern Iran on Friday, IRNA reports.

The Quds Military Base in a statement declared that the ground forces of IRGC, using accurate intelligence data, identfied the terrorist cell affiliated to the global arrogance that were planning to attack border military posts from outside Iran.

The cell was busted through an ambush by the forces in the vicinity of the border post 163 in Saravan region.

As the result of the operation, four terrorists were killed and two more were injured. The rest of the terrorists managed to flee into the neighboring country.

The statement also noted that there were no causalities among the IRIG forces.

A number of weapons and military equipments of the terrorists were seized by the Iranian forces, the statement read.
