Dubai's replacement flight to Oslo, the Norwegian capital, which landed in Shiraz on December 14 due to technical problems, left Shiraz for Oslo on Dec.15.
The jet took off from Dubai on Dec.14, when the 2-month-old plane faced engine trouble. It had to land at Shiraz International Airport, Iran.
The director of the Fars province airports said in an interview with IRNA that the Boeing 737 aircraft, which was flying from Dubai to Oslo, the capital of Norway, had to make an emergency landing at Shiraz Shahid Dastgheib International Airport on Dec.14 due to a technical problems in one of the engines with 187 passengers.
"The passengers of this flight were transferred to the Shiraz hotel,” director general of Fars Province Airports, Reza Badiei-Fard said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
He stated that the flight was replaced by an alternative on Dec.14 night and the alternative flight flew with passengers to Oslo on Dec.15.
“The passengers were happy with the hospitality and services they received in Shiraz, and some gifts were given to them before leaving Shiraz.”
