Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade is to operate 20 important projects in mine and industrial sector in current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), said special advisor to the minister.
"The Ministry will operate 20 important projects in mine and industrial sector to improve domestic production including steel, copper, aluminum, food, transport and carpet weaving", said Ahmad Ebrahimi,Trend reports citing ministry's website.
"The factory with production capacity of 50,000 tons bioleaching cathode copper in Zarand in Kerman Province is ready to operate, and another project on production of 1.5 million tons steel will operate at Zarand in September," he added.
The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade recently inaugurated production plant for 3,000 tons bioleaching cathode copper in Jiroft in Kerman Province.
The official emphasized that activating and development of small scale mines is another project that would be implemented this year.
"Total of 150 small scale mines will be activated in current year. There is also plan to create jobs in mine sectors and extraction of mineral materials alongside renovating equipment in mine sector."
