Iran's Zanjan province reduces exports of non-oil products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 4. Exports of non-oil products from Iran's Zanjan province decreased by one percent in value terms and by 33 percent in weight terms in the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through May 20, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through May 21, 2023), Trend reports via the province's customs administration.

According to the administration, over the reporting period, 33,500 tons of non-oil products worth $72 million were exported from Zanjan province.

Meanwhile, 59 percent of the export of non-oil products from the province accounted for zinc ingot, 20 percent - transformer, and seven percent - fluting paper.

The administration added that products from the above province were mainly exported to Türkiye, Iraq, and the UAE.

The country exported 23.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $8 billion in the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through May 20, 2024).

Additionally, Iran's non-oil exports grew by 3.8 percent in value and 8.5 percent in weight in the first two months of the current Iranian year compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
