(englishnews) - Korean mobile phone makers are performing well in the global market. Market research firm Strategy Analytics on Friday said Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics shipped 47 million of the world's 260 million mobile handsets in the third quarter, reports Trend.
Nokia remained no. 1 in sales with 89 million units, followed by Motorola with 54 million. Samsung raised its world market share 0.7 percentage points from the second quarter to 11.9 percent. LG's share dipped just 0.1 percentage point to 6.4 percent.
