(IRNA) - Iran and Saudi Arabia underlined the need to find a just and mutually-consented solution to the Lebanese crisis through consultations.
In a phone conversation, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and his Saudi counterpart Saud al-Faisal voiced concern over conditions in Iraq and underlined further cooperation among regional states, especially Iraq neighbors, to help Baghdad establish stability and security in the country, reports Trend.
Thanking Mottaki for proposing the idea of holding conference of Iraq neighbors in Baghdad, al-Faisal said the meeting can be held in Baghdad sooner if Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari follows up the issue more closely and steps up consultations on the issue.
Tehran-Riyadh relations and issues of mutual interest were among other subjects discussed in the phone conversation.
