Secretary of Supreme National Security Council arrives in Ankara for nuclear talks

( IRNA ) - Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani arrived in Ankara Wednesday to hold talks with the EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana.

The top nuclear negotiator, who is heading a delegation, is to attend a luncheon by Turkey's Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan Wednesday.

The first round of talks between Larijani and Solana is scheduled to begin Wednesday evening.

While in Ankara, Larijani will also meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul.

Following a telephone conversation between Larijani and Solana on April 19, the sides agreed to hold a meeting on April 25.

The two sides have held phone talks since their last meeting in Munich in February.

In his talks with Solana, Larijani has stressed on Iran's inalienable rights to develop peaceful nuclear activities.

" Iran has always been ready to hold constructive talks with sides," the SNSC secretary said.

He expressed hope the way of pursuing outcomes of talks would change and Western states would adopt a behavior which would draw the trust of the Iranian nation.

Solana has said that diplomacy is the only solution to disputes over Iran's nuclear case.

He expressed hope his meeting with Larijani in Ankara would be continued in the future.
