Iran's gas condensate output from the giant South Pars gas field rose by 15 percent to 120 million barrels during the last fiscal year that ended on March 20, an Iranian oil and gas sector official has announced.

"Raw gas production from the field also increased by 15 percent to 130 billion cubic meters," SHANA news agency quoted Ali Akbar Shabanpour, managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), as saying Apr. 1.

South Pars occupies 88 percent of Iran's total gas condensate output and about 50 percent of the country's total raw gas production.

According to Iran Customs Administration's statistics, the country exported 15.948 million tons of gas condensate last year, which indicates a 16-percent drop in volume.
