Iran’s butane and propane (LPG) output has quadrupled since 2013 when President Hassan Rouhani took office.
According to an official document prepared by Oil Ministry and seen by Trend, the country’s LPG production stood at 1.117 million tons during the first five months of current fiscal year, compared to 286,000 tons of the same period in 2013.
Iran’s fiscal year starts on March 21.
During this period, Iran’s methane and ethane production also increased by 38 percent and 49 percent to 90.9 billion cubic meters and 886,000 tons, respectively.
