Iran's NISOC to sign MoUs with foreign partners

The National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) is going to sign a few MoUs with foreign partners in December, according to NISOC CEO Bijan Alipour.

He made the announcement on the sidelines of a ceremony for signing an MoU and Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) with international consortium Pergas to conduct studies on two oil fields Karanj and Shadgan, SHANA news agency reported November 23.

He said that besides Pergas, talks are under way with the Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG SA), Schlumberger, Austria's MNV and Denico Consortium.

He also announced that an MoU with Schlumberger will be signed within the next week.

Pergas consortium comprises 11 European, Canadian and Asian firms as well as the Sharif University of Technology.

Based on the day’s MoU, the consortium will be given maximum of 6 months to hand over the results of its studies and also submit its proposed development plan on the fields to the NISOC.
