During three months (March 21-June 21) of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) goods worth $32 million were exported through customs in Iran’s Golestan province, said Director General of Customs Administration of Iran’s Northern Province of Golestan Seyed Ebrahim Hosseini, Trend reports via IRNA.

He said that strong floods that occurred in March and April this year in Iran reduced the exports of the province.

He added that during the reporting period, mainly reinforcing bars, dairy products and cement were exported to Iraq, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.

“In the past three months, 3,790 tons of products worth $5 million have been imported to Iran via the Incheboron customs,” he said.

He added that over the three months, Golestan province exported goods worth $2 million through portfolio trade.

This is a 66 percent increase in terms of weight and a 148 percent growth in terms of value, compared to the same period last year, he said.

He noted that 2,230 heads of small cattle and 56 heads of large cattle were imported to Iran through the Incheboron customs.
