Iran's Ahar-Tabriz 90-kilometer highway will be inaugurated in the coming days, said Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami said, Trend reports via IRNA.
"Independent consultants were obligated to run the studies on completion of the project, based on traffic volume and population. Their studies concluded that the following route is accurate and based and experts opinion that would have minimum costs, compared to other options," he said.
Eslami expressed hope that there would be an agreement to invest in construction of the remaining 60 kilometers of the highway, in order to speed up the completion of Nourdoz-Khajeh route that passes through Varzaghan.
According to Eslami, this route is 'an international path', and the completion of the project would help accelerate overall transportation across country.
