BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. The value of Iran's crude oil exports in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) amounted to approximately $35.9 billion, Iran's deputy minister of economy and finance and director general of Iran's Customs Administration, Mohammad Rezvanifar said, Trend reports.

According to Rezvanifar, Iran exported crude oil worth $3.28 billion in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (from February 20 through March 19, 2024).

The official did not specify the weight of crude oil exported by Iran or to what countries it was exported.

Rezvanifar stated that in the last Iranian year, the value of Iran's electricity exports amounted to $370 million, and the value of technical services rendered in other countries amounted to $1.29 billion.

The deputy minister added that Iran's exports of crude oil, electricity, non-oil products, and technical services amounted to about $86.9 billion last year.

Meanwhile, Iran cannot freely export the mentioned products due to sanctions imposed by the US and Western countries. Therefore, great importance is attached to the export of non-oil products.

Additionally, a total of 74 oil fields and 22 gas fields are currently operating in Iran. There are 37 oil fields in the territory of Iran's South Oil Zones National Company, 14 in the territory of Iran's Central Oil Zones Company, 5 in the territory of Arvandan Oil and Gas Production Company, and 18 in the territory of Offshore Oil Company. There are also 5 gas fields in the territory of Iran's South Oil Zones National Company, 13 in the territory of Central Oil Zones Company, 1 in the territory of Pars Oil and Gas Company, and 3 in the territory of Offshore Oil Company.

To note, Iran's total hydrocarbon reserves are 1.2 trillion barrels. Iran can produce 340 billion barrels of this gas with existing technological equipment. Iran can utilize about 30 percent, while 70 percent remains unutilized underground.
