Iran's non-oil trade with Russia builds up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. Iran's non-oil trade with Russia increased by 13.6 percent in value and 36.9 percent in weight in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.

According to the statistics, Iran's trade turnover with Russia last year amounted to 5.54 million tons worth $2.64 billion.

However, in the previous Iranian year, Iran's trade turnover with Russia was 4.04 million tons worth about $2.32 billion.

Statistics show that the main goods exchanged between the two countries are petrochemical products, agricultural products, glassware, industrial products, raw silk, cotton, timber wood materials, etc.

Information shows that Iran's trade turnover with Russia was 373,000 tons worth $180 million for the 12th month of the last Iranian year (from February 20 through March 19, 2024).

To note, according to the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration, the country's trade turnover (imports and exports) last year amounted to more than $153 billion. Compared to the previous year, the trade turnover increased by 2.6 percent.
