Iran takes break from Vienna talks, claims 'agreement is closer than ever'

TEHRAN, Iran, June 21

Trend:

Iran's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs said there will be a break in Vienna talks and the Iranian delegation will return to Tehran.

“I cannot say how many days it will be exactly. We’ll return, not just for further consultations but for making certain decisions,” Iranian Deputy FM Abbas Araqchi said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

“We’re now more than ever close to an agreement, but filling the gap till reaching an agreement is not easy,” he said.

Araqchi also said that all the documents of the agreement are almost ready.

He noted that as far as the disputed issues are concerned, some have been resolved, some still remain.

He went on to refer to the indirect talks with the US, adding that indirect negotiations are not an easy task and it is necessary to work much more carefully to avoid misunderstandings.
