Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has slammed US military option against Iran.
During a meeting with commanders of the Iranian Army, Khemenei said "the other side impudently threatens us repeatedly to military option. Then, they say Iran should not have defensive capability," Iran's Fars news agency reported on April 19.
Khemenei referred to the US as "the other side".
"Even if they did not threaten us, we should be required to be prepared and vigil," he added.
The Islamic Republic has proved to act totally powerful to defend itself, he said, resembling the nation as a solid body which stands against any oppression.
He also criticized the US for supporting military Saudi Arabia-led military operation in Yemen.
