BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. During a meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nooruddin Azizi, the crucial role of transit and cargo transportation in strengthening ties between the two countries was emphasized, Trend reports citing the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the ministry, Araghchi stated that there are many opportunities for trade and cooperation between the two countries. He also noted that Iran supports the development of the private sector in areas such as industry, manufacturing, trade, agriculture, cargo transport, and oversight.
The Afghan Minister highlighted the significance of activating transit routes through the Chabahar and Bandar Abbas Ports, underscoring their strategic importance for both nations.
Azizi further explained that Afghanistan is working to create favorable conditions for Iranian companies to invest in the country, aiming to improve its economic and industrial situation and increase production.
