The chief of the Military Medical Directorate of the Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel Artashes Parsadanyan has been dismissed from his post, the Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan told reporters on Friday, Novosti-Armenia reported.

The decision was made in connection with deaths of servicemen due to health-related problems.

On Thursday morning, Armenak Mkrtchyan, a conscript of one of Armenian military units died from acute cardiopulmonary failure at the Central Clinical Military Hospital. According to doctors, the cardio-respiratory failure may have been caused by an acute infarction and pulmonary embolism.
