Deadlock named after Serzh Sargsyan

The situation in Armenia is reminiscent of a parable about two stubborn sheep that faced on a narrow bridge, and not willing to give a way to each other, they both fell into an abyss.

Today, Armenia's people and authorities have come to a deadlock. And if no cardinal changes take place in the relations between the government and the people in Armenia, the country will remain for a long time in the deadlock named after Serzh Sargsyan.

Previously, the Armenian authorities were able to early strangle the opposition protests using any means, including the openly criminal ones, while the current situation is unusual for Sargsyan, and the tested schemes are simply not working in this situation.

The youth took to the streets in Armenia. They were spurred not by the weak argument of the scattered Armenian opposition, but by one and the same desire of justice.

The youth organization known as "No to Robbery", which is the leader of the protest movement, has already once "smelled the blood" of officials when it achieved the cancellation of the public transport price hike.

Now, intoxicated by the recent victory, it became more insistent in demands.

And the Armenian youth, which is already supported by the largest part of the population, demands the cancellation of the decision of the authorities and the Russian energy company.

Armenian people weary of their officials, the president and others just want to live in a legal state.

Taking into account the circumstances, the only way for the government to break the deadlock is to cancel or as a last resort, freeze the decision to increase the tariffs.

However, it seems that Armenian government is not going to change its decision. Armenia's Energy Minister Yervand Zakaryan has already said that the decision to increase the tariffs on electricity can not be revised.

The time will tell who will win in the confrontation between the people and the authorities, however, in the long term, Armenian authorities will sooner or later get into the most difficult situation anyway.

Refusal to make concessions to the people can lead to a full-fledged revolution with the overthrow of the ruling regime and subsequent anarchy in the country, since the protestors do not have an outstanding leader.

On the other hand, making concessions can lead to the emergence of the new generation of Armenians who will be confident of achieving the cancellation of the government decisions through peaceful actions.

This will one day inevitably lead to another clash between the authorities and the people.

Therefore, for the present, there is no a way out of Serzh Sargsyan deadlock.
