Mikhail Saakashvili Suggests Opposition to Cooperate

Georgia, Tbilisi/corr. Trend N. Kirtskhalia/ Mikhail Saakashvili, the candidate for presidency, suggests all the political powers to cooperate for the people's welfare. On 11 Jan, David Bakradzeh, the speaker of Mikhail Saakashvili's Election Headquarter reported in Tbilisi.

He confirmed the information about Saakashvili's meeting with his main rival in the presidential elections- Levan Gachecheladzeh, a candidate from the United Opposition. He also stressed that it was an attempt by the ex-president to establish his relations with the opposition, on a positive basis.

"It was a business like meeting of the people who are concerned about the future of the Country and wish to refrain from a confrontation, and I can assure all that, there were not any trade of the posts and ministry portfolios in the meeting", Bakradzeh said. Saakashvili is ready to meet with all the opposition leaders to discuss the situation in the country, he stressed. "Our candidate is ready to establish the constructive cooperation for the welfare of Our Country" he concluded.
