Georgia, Tbilisi, 25 June / corr. Trend N.Kitzkhalia / A plan on the conflict settlement in Georgia was presented to Georgian President Michael Saakashvili in Berlin, the Georgian President Administration said.

All countries of the UN Secretary General's Friends Group on Georgia were the authors of this plan. Developed by the US, the UK, France and Germany, the plan was examined at the Conrad Adenauer Foundation of Berlin, where Saakashvili made a speech. Europe considers that a threat addressed to Georgia is a threat addressed to the stability of the European Union (EU) in whole.

Therefore, members of the Friend's Group developed their three-stage conflict settlement plan. The settlement plan envisages changing the format of peacekeeping operations and cancelling Putin's decree on establishment of special relations with Sukhumi and Tzkhinvali. The next stage is the economic rehabilitation in Galski and Ochamchirski Districts of Abkhazia and then political regulation.

Representatives of the German Government stated during official meetings held with the Georgian President that Germany was prepared to mediate between Russia and Georgia. The meeting between President Saakashvili and Germany Chancellor Angela Merkel was to be held in Berlin on 25 June.

Tbilisi pays much attention to extend interrelations with Germany and its positive activity in the processes around Georgia. The talks between Saakashvili and Merkela will focus on the settlement of the conflicts, as well as, the Georgian integration to NATO and the EU.
