Georgian police detained a Polish citizen wanted by Interpol.

Marcin Polak wanted by Polish department of Interpol was detained at the Tbilisi International Airport, Georgian Interior Ministry told Trend on Tuesday.

The detainee has been wanted since Nov.7, 2012. He is charged with possession and sale of large amount of drugs, and he faces imprisonment up to three years under Polish law.

As Georgian Interior Ministry said, at present work is underway on pre-extradition measures with the Polish side.

Over the last two months the Georgian law enforcement officers detained eight persons, who were internationally wanted.
