Political consultations between Georgian and Armenian deputy foreign ministers took place in Tbilisi. As Georgian Foreign Ministry reported, the Georgian delegation was headed by David Jalagania, Armenian delegation was led by Shavarsh Kocharyan.
According to the Foreign Ministry, in the course of consultations, the parties discussed current trends in bilateral and multilateral relations of Armenia and Georgia, in particular, the issues of political, trade, economic and cultural cooperation, issues of mutual support within the framework of European integration, as well as in international organizations.
Relations between the two countries and prospects of deepening cooperation in various fields were discussed by Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili during his visit to Yerevan in January this year.
