The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia is fully ready to hold the municipal elections, CEC head Tamar Zhvania said after the commission's meeting on April 15.
"The elections should be held in a peaceful environment. Some 71 sakrebulos (city councils) with total 2,088 MPs, as well as mayors of 12 cities and administration heads of 59 municipalities must be elected. The administration is fully ready for the elections," Zhvania said.
The municipal elections in Georgia have been scheduled for June 15, 2014.
