Georgian vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Giorgi Kvirikashvili met with the Minister of Commerce of People's Republic of China Gao Huchenom in Beijing. The meeting was held within the framework of the working visit of Deputy Prime Minister to China.
The conversation dealt with the issues of foreign economic relations of the two countries, including the dynamics of growth and turnover of the Chinese investments in Georgia, the Ministry of Economy of Georgia reported.
Development of economic ties with China should be one of the top priorities of the external economic relations of Georgia, Kvirikashvili stated.
It was noted at the meeting that China is interested in the revival of the Grand Silk Road and the development and potential which Georgia has.
