Georgian chicken imports from January through August 2021 decreased, while exports have increased, National Statistics Office (Geostat) said, Trend reports via Georgian media.
According to Geostat, Georgia imported 35,757 tons of chicken meat worth $42.2 million from January through August 2021, compared to 31,517 tons ($36.7 million) over the same period of 2020.
Georgia exported 5,805 tons of chicken meat ($6.3 million) over the first 8 months of 2021, compared to 5,243 tons ($5.7 million) over the reporting period of 2020.

Turkey – 8,206 tons
Brazil – 5,976 tons
Netherlands – 3,103 tons
Ukraine – 2,810 tons
The US – 2,644 tons

Armenia – 2,986 tons

Kazakhstan – 802 tons
Turkmenistan – 710 tons
