The number of tourists from Kazakhstan traveling to Georgia from January through November 2021 increased by 374.1 percent to 62,163 visitors, compared to 13,113 people over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.
Meanwhile, the same indicator decreased by 34.8 percent in the reporting period of 2021, compared to first 11 months of 2019, when 95,375 people visited Georgia from Kazakhstan.
The number of visitors from Kazakhstan to Georgia only in November 2021 totaled 5,148 people, which is an increase of 869.5 percent, compared to 531 people over the same period of 2020, and a decrease of 44.1 percent, compared to 9,214 tourists in November 2019.
Thus, Kazakhstan ranks 8 among TOP-10 main countries of origin for tourists arriving in Georgia, the report said.
The total number of international visitors to Georgia from January through November 2021 amounted to 1.66 million visitors, which is a decrease of 1.6 percent, compared to 1.69 million over the same period of 2020.
