Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has lifted restrictions on Georgia regarding dairy products exports to Russia, Trend reports via the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor.
According to the statement, the decision was made after Russia’s talks with counterparts from Belarus, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.
The talks between Roselkhoznadzor and Georgian National Food Agency resulted in lifting sanctions against 15 Georgian producers of dairy products.
The Georgian side has also confirmed the negotiations with Russia. Georgia has been holding negotiations with its Russian counterparts since 2020 with the involvement of the relevant government agencies and well-known international companies.
