Five reporters working for al-Jazeera were arrested by the Egyptian military on Monday, the broadcaster said on its English and Arabic channels.
Al-Jazeera was taken off the air in Egypt on Sunday, after authorities revoked its license, DPA reported.
The channel had been extensively broadcasting footage of the unrest in Egypt and had been accused of being sympathetic to the protesters.
