The head of Libya's intelligence Bouzid Dorda has escaped to Tunisia, and it is supposed that he announced his resignation, Alarab Online reported with reference to official sources.

The report also said that Libya's deputy ambassador to the UN Ibrahim Dabbashi said Thursday that in the coming days, many high-ranking Libyan officials will resign and leave the country.

In an interview with British Sky News TV channel, Dabbashi said that the resignation and flight of foreign minister of Libya Musa Kusa was not a surprise, and many have been waiting it.

Earlier on Thursday, Foreign Minister Musa Kusa left his post and left for Britain in order to get a political asylum there. The Libyan government has confirmed that Kusa left his post, asking permission to go to Tunisia for treatment.

Dabbashi said Kusa's flight will weaken Gaddafi's regime. "This confirms the incapacity of the system. Kusa knew that Colonel Qaddafi's term has already finished," he said.

Former Immigration Minister of Libya Ali al-Arish said today that Kusa's resignation means that the government of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is coming to an end.
