Egypt's military rulers imposed a five-hour curfew early Monday in central Cairo after deadly clashes, state television reported.
The curfew is to run from 2 am (0000 GMT) to 7 am in an area extending from the Nile-side district of Maspero, where the state TV and radio building is located, to Abassiya in eastern Cairo, dpa reported.
At least 21 people were killed and more than 180 injured Sunday when protesters, mostly Coptic Christians, clashed with army and security forces in central Cairo.
