Azerbaijani Diaspora Leader to Israel Becomes World Ambassador
Israel, Jerusalem, 23 January / Trend corr. R.Abdullayev / Alex Shapiro-Suliman, the president of the Congress of Azerbaijanis on the Middle East, has been given the rank of World Ambassador.
"Shapiro-Suliman was given the rank of World Ambassador by the Federation for Peace and Inter religious international federation for peace, for his contributions in the development of peace initiatives and mission to serve for the common benefit, as well as he devotion in building up of a global peaceful community using the peace principles," the press-service of the Congress reported to Trend on 23 January.
"The Federation for Peace and Inter religious international federation for peace recognize Shapiro-Suliman as a person, who has devoted his life for the protection of universal values, supports the institute of a strong family, and has made his contributions in strengthening of the inter-religious cooperation and establishing the international relations," the Federation stated in the message to the Congress. The role of Shapiro-Suliman in the development of bilateral relations between Israel and Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani and Jewish nations, as well as improvement of friendship and cooperation between Judaism and Islam, is stressed in the message sent by the Federation to the Congress.
Shapiro-Suliman stated in his interview to Trend about the significance of the Congress and like-minded persons, to reach to such purpose like the development and implementation of the Azerbaijani-Israeli programs in the spheres of science, education, culture, health and also the popularization of the Azerbaijani culture. The key goal of the Congress is to inform the World Community about the Azerbaijani realities and increase the international rating of the country.
In September 2005, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) was established by Mun Son Men in New-York. UPF is a global alliance of individuals and organizations, dedicated towards building a world of peace, where there is freedom, harmony, cooperation and co-prosperity for all.
Shapiro-Suliman graduated from the Juridical faculty of the Moscow Industrial Institute, worked at different posts in the Culture Ministry of the former Soviet Union. Shapiro-Suliman has been the taken to the president post of the Congress of Azerbaijanis in the Middle East, since August 2007, as well as the head of Azerbaijani Diaspora organization in Israel.
