Egypt has released an Israeli man arrested during protests in the country's northeast following the request of Israel's Foreign Ministry, Press TV reported.

Tomer Sahiak was arrested at the seaport town of Suez on Wednesday, Ynetnews reported on Wednesday.

The detention took place on the ninth consecutive day of the protests across Egypt against the regime of three-decade-long President Hosni Mubarak.

Moav Vardi, correspondent for Israel's Channel 10, who was sent to Egypt to report on the protests in the capital, Cairo, was also arrested by Egypt, but was returned to Israel on Thursday.
