Egypt police find explosives caches near Gaza border
(dpa) - Egyptian police found 250 kilos of TNT explosives and 40 anti-tank mines in the city of Rafah on Egypt's border with the Gaza Strip, security officials said Tuesday.
Egyptian authorities regularly seize weapons and explosives in northern Sinai and uncover tunnels used for smuggling weapons into the Gaza Strip.
Israel accuses Egypt of not acting to stop weapons smuggling into the Palestinian territory.
Cairo is also concerned over illicit weapons activity in Sinai in the wake of three deadly bombings in tourist resorts, which have been carried out by militants since 2004.
